  We had a Home Equity loan with Mellon when they were in Scranton PA. which we closed and began to pay off in 1998. However in 2006 Mellon sold this loan to a loan service. After paying this loan service for 5 years, they sold the company to another loan service. Later we found out that the first loan service added $1,770 to the principle balance transferred by Mellon Bank, and when we asked Mellon for help in correcting this fraudulent activity they refused and we had to acquire the services of an attorney. Mellon committed fraud by sending information to me to try to justify this $1,770 the loan company added. They are the worst bank in the world, and their customer service is just as bad.

  Mellon Bank is the most rude bank I have ever come across in Ohio or Pennsylvania. I have found the staff to be extremely arrogant and completely non-responsive. Their service is in the commode, as politely as I can put it. Recommend staying as FAR away as possible from any dealings with Mellon Bank.
